Baby Shower favors were crocheted in a triangle, secured with a stitch, diaper pin glued on, bags filled with candy and secured with a ribbon. Very easy and cute. Oh, of course, these were made for my Step-Daughter whose baby is due next month and it's a girl. Here are the instructions if you would like to try them yourself:
Use F hook, and any baby yarn. I didn't worry about gauge.
Row 1: Chain 26, dc in 3rd from hook and across row.
Row 2-4: Ch 2, turn work, dc across row (25 stitches)
Row 5-thru end: Ch 2, turn work, decrease st over next 2 stitches, dc across row until 2 stitches remain. Dec over remaining 2 stitches. Finish off.
Fold triangle and stitch closed. Glue on diaper pin and stuff with goodie bag. Tie to close.

This is an easy tote bag that I made for my Mom's walkeras she needed something to carry her glasses and ID in.I got the idea from "crochetme" website and a design by Sarah Read. I crocheted the bag using a single crochet stitch (in the back loop only), creating a ribbed effect. I used Red Heart Supersaver yarn in the Texas flag colors as she is a new resident of the State. She loves it and now all her friends want one!
I am an avid crocheter and knitter. I am self-taught and love the ability to make many charity items either way. I had been away from crocheting for a long while, but during a stressful time in my life, a good friend of mine, brought me crochet hooks and yarn and said, "here get busy" and I have been ever crocheting ever since. I owe her a big thanks.
I have been living in Texas now for a year and getting use to the culture. Way different then Massachusetts, but finally settling in with my new family and friends.
