"Cradle Babies"

I made these cradle babies with 4" dolls that I found at Wal-Mart for $1.00 each. They are fully dressed and fit into any size purse that you make. Aren't they cute?

Vicki's Lavender Sweater

Here is my Christmas sweater that I crocheted for myself using Paton's astra yarn. I wore this to our office Holiday party. The pattern was from Easy Living Crochet.

Recycled Sweater

Hi Everyone! Approximately 20 years ago,
I made myself a sweater-coat and it hung
in the closet and was NEVER worn. I read
a post from Crochet Partners about recycling
old sweaters and decided to start frogging
this one. This is the result. A freeform sweater
made from recycled yarn. Oh, btw, I have
no idea why my eyes are closed.

Circle Loom with Crochet Finishing

My mother is legally blind and I was able to teach her how to use the loom. This was her first attempt. She made (5) 36 inch panels and I finished it with the squares and border. This will be a Christmas present for her to giver her granddaughter.

Best Friend "Nurse Laura"

Nurse Laura is my husband's best friend at Mass General in Boston. What can you say about these dedicated nurses that attend to your needs and is always there for you. Thanks Laura for being there for us. God luv ya!

Afternoon Aghan

This afghan was made for my Grandson, Chad Vanstraten.
I made this afghan using Lion Brand Homespun, Autumn Afternoon Afghan pattern. For the yarn, I used Caron's Simply Soft in dark and light country blue.

Shimmering Lacy Vest made for the larger Woman in Mind

I made this vest using Annie's Favorite Crochet pattern, April 2005 issue for my niece, of course the size in the pattern. Then I thought why can't I make one for me also by just increasing the pattern. As you can see, I think it turned out beautifully only this one is longer than the original.

Lacy Doily

Isn't this pretty! I recently purchased a computer cabinet so that I could start using my kitchen table as a table again. After setting up the computer cabinet I needed something to put in the middle of the table. I made this from Annie's Favorite Crochet, April 2005 issue, and using Royale #10 thread.

2005 Revere Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament

Some pics from our golf tournament. On the left is former Mayor Bob Haas and yours truly and friend of Bobs. On the right is our friend, Tony Flammia and Warren Richardson (the love of my life), yours truly again and Bob Silverman in the background, President of the Chamber.

Warren won a $50 gift certificate on the Blue Diner's restaurant in Melrose and a bottle of Blackberry Brandy. I ran around selling raffle tickets. Fun had by all!

Child's Sweater Freeform

This sweater was made by using bits and pieces of scrap yarn. I just started crocheting and the pattern developed.

Baby Blanket and Hat

I made this car seat blanket and hat for the maintenance man's new baby "Kevin". I used Sugar and Cream yarn.

Hat's for Charity

How do you like my collection of hats? I make these hats while riding on the subway to work. Last year, I donated almost 50 to Mass. General Hospital, Cancer center for their hat tree. They are very warm and hopefully, keep heads warm. I have 35 already finished for this year's tree.

Tracie's Wedding Barbie

This Barbie I crocheted for a little girl named Tracie Crugnale on her 7th birthday. She hasn't seen it yet..I hope she likes it. I modified the pattern found in Annie's Favorite Crochet, June, 2005 issue, titled Garden Party.

Alyiah's Barbie

I crocheted this Barbie and her clothes for our "great-granddaughter, Alyiah, on her 5th Birthday.

The "Shrug" Ladies

Tracey is on the left, Eileen below. I made these shrugs for them using pattern purchased from www.caneycreations.com. Easy and quick pattern to create. The purple one I recently made for a friend of my Mom in California.

Vicki's Crocheted Hooded Pullover

Yes, that's me again in my hooded pullover. I used a knit pattern that CatLady from the CP Digest 5/27/05 recommended in her post http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/khs-hoodedSweater.html but converted it to crochet using a measuring tape and some guess work, especially to make it plus + size (I like that description better than big women). I have now made another one for my daughter in an xl. I used Sugar and Cream cotton thread and a size G hook. Hopefully, it will not stretch all out of shape. I have only worn it a couple of times and so far so good.

Thanks to Patience

Thanks for helping me get my beautiful MUG on my profile. What a job! I know that with the material you had to work with, it was quite tough.

Vicki's Pride and Joy Tablecloth

This is my pride and joy and the first large project that I have completed in a long time! I made this tablecloth using a rose square from a bedspread pattern Crochet Bedspreads in Half the time by American School of Needlework #1302 and then creating my own freeform design. I crocheted two squares (374 total squares) per day commuting to work by subway. On weekends, I would sew together a strip once I had enough squares to do so. (18 squares in a strip). It took me over 4 months to complete. I used 4 large cones of Classic Royale #10 in white and a #10 crochet hook. It's approximately 84" x 105".

This is my husband's favorite flower. I have tried to plant them for him (as his health prevents him from planting) every summer and I definitely do not have a green thumb. This year, I think there are about 3 really good sprouts that might have a chance to grow, but I will see. We have a large bucket in our front yard and one day, just by chance, my husband pushed a seed into the bucket and guess what, it has grown and is almost 5 feet tall already, while mine are just sprouts. Oh the luck of the IRISH!

Summer Blahs

This weekend Revere Beach was closed for swimming because of an awful sewer break in Lynn that poluted the water. NO SWIMMING ALLOWED!
