I'm back at it...making cradle babies for my new Texas friends.

Garden Club Flower Brooches

These lovely garden roses were created by me using #10 crochet thread of various colors. I attached with glue the leaves and brooch pin. They will be given to the garden club members by Marie P. (92 years old) as her special gift to them. Hope they like them!

Back to Basic Car Seat Blanket and Hat

I wanted something simple and easy to crochet and knit and my friend had a baby boy. Sometimes you just don't want to think too much about a project. Right?

Baby Shower Booties Favor

I crocheted 30 booties for a recent baby shower that I gave for my new daughter-in-law. My Granddaughter, Mandy made candy bottles and pacifiers and we filled each bootie with a baggie of candy. If you look real close you will see little plastic bottles inserted in the ribbon. Cute idea that was well received by everyone at the shower. I had 10 left over and donated them to the hospital.

Lots has happened since last post

Hi all. Wow, my last post was May of 2009 and boy has a lot happened since then. I met and fell in love with a wonderful man from Keller, Texas. We met online at http://www.catholicmatch.com/. Had a whirlwind romance and packed up and moved to Texas. I haven't been able to do much crocheting or knitting as my middle finger has a torn ligament and needs surgery and I'm waiting for a referral. I miss crocheting so much. I am able to do simple knitting with a brace on though, but that's about it.

I moved from being a city girl to a country girl with horses and cows as neighbors. This is taking some getting used to though, it sure is a new culture here.
